Push Bikes has been campaigning for the needs of cyclists for over 25 years and has been instrumental in bringing about many of the improvements in local provision for cyclists.

Push Bikes:

- campaigns for the rights and needs of all cyclists in and around Birmingham and Solihull.
- represents members' interests to European, national and local government, employers and transport providers.
- keeps members informed via a quarterly newsletter and web site.
- negotiates a 10% discount for members at local bike shops.
- organises leisure rides throughout the year and events during National Bike Week.
- links with other groups across Britain through the Cycle Campaign Network.
- got Birmingham City Council to quadruple spending on cycling from 2000 for five years.
- had input to the Solihull Cycling Strategy document.
- supported the formation of the Solihull Cycling Steering Group.

Push Bikes plans to continue working together with local councils, employers and transport providers to improve facilities for cyclists. We encourage local cyclists of all abilities and potential cyclists to join our organisation in order that they are represented at relevant meetings and consulted upon when we are asked for feedback on new schemes.

As a voluntary organisation, Push Bikes depend on the support of its members.
